Engineered for Safety
Yale has a great history for offering safe lift trucks that are suitable for a range of uses. The ability to design and manufacture models for better safety comes from the new technology which is available in the material handling industry and the company's experience.
In their latest designs, Yale has started incorporating newly available technologies. Some of the new technologies that are available are initially applied to forklift trucks and after that proven further through durability testing and functionality. The company conducts many controlled field tests and reliability development so as to make sure that their products are really safe.
Some of Yale's new designs and technology which has been integrated as standard features for their fleet in order to enhance overall safety include the following:
Operator Compartment Ergonomics and Controls
The ergonomics in the operator compartment as well as the controls are made with state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to guarantee that the operator avoids fatigue as well as heavy repetitive motions. These added comforts help to increase overall production.
Adjustable Operators Controls and Compartment
Adjustable operator controls enable the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the equipment user friendly, regardless of who is utilizing it. Before starting their shift, the operator could make sure he or she is as comfortable as possible.
Operator Presence System
Yale's hydraulic system operation called the Operator Presence System prevents the operation of the machine if the operator is not in the right operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on trucks which have IC engines.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The drop-down design brings the LPG tank out from the protected center of the truck and down to the natural handling position of the operator making the tank easier to change.
