Operator Environment
Operators have an efficient and safe place to work from in the Spirit Delta cab. The particular design of the cab comes as a result of extensive study into the operators working conditions. The main goal is to be able to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and huge glass areas unobstructed in order to keep the field of vision clear. The instrumental panel is ergonomically designed and is gently rounded and extremely comfortable. This area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all important information, in order to keep the operator functioning as effectively as she or he could.
Thanks to the insulated mounting to the chassis, overall noise levels and vibration levels are kept low. The hydraulic controls and the operators' seat are all independently adjustable in order to maintain an optimum working position. In addition, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 multi-functioned ergonomically positioned and easy to operate levers that are offered for gear changing, windscreen wipers, the horn and window washers.
A ventilation/heating unit ensure a comfy cab temperature for the operator. The incoming air is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machine has a robust 3-speed fan for cooling, heating, defrosting and recirculation. As an extra option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all accessible. The standard instruments that comprise: warning lamps, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. In addition, gauges display values for operating time, fuel quantity, gearbox oil pressure and engine coolant.
The ECS or also called Electronic Control System monitoring is amongst the main options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These models make it easier to supervise the machinery. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any faults that happen and their current values.
