Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
You can often find pneumatic forklifts in warehouses and shipping operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used to move materials and products around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump that can raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one individual.
To prevent loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated carefully. Equipment should be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Make sure that the handle can smoothly turn. The pallet must be carefully stacked to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
In order to release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever situated on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be centered in order to ensure equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift could unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and dragging it behind you. It is dangerous to push the pallet in front of you since the thrust could cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop suddenly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
